What is Dibond ?
We often talk about Dibond signs, but what does this term actually mean? Originally, this material was developed by a brand that gave it its name. Over time, ‘Dibond’ became a common term used to describe the product itself (much like ‘fridge’ or ‘dumpster’).
In terms of manufacturing, Dibond consists of three layers: two aluminum sheets and a polyethylene core in between. The two aluminum surfaces can be customized, and this combination of materials gives Dibond its strength and lightweight properties.
The advantages of a Dibond sign
Choosing aluminum Dibond panels for your signage is a smart decision for several reasons.
Robustness
This durable material is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Thanks to its rustproof properties, there’s no risk of corrosion, and it withstands harsh weather conditions and UV rays—making it perfect for outdoor applications.

Personalization
It is a go-to material for printers, offering a wide range of colors and finishes—an excellent advantage for creating customized designs, especially for communication materials.
Recycled
