What is Dibond?
We often talk about Dibond signage, but what exactly does this term mean? Originally, this material was developed by a brand that gave it its name. Over time, the word “Dibond” became part of everyday language, now referring to the object itself (a similar story to words like “fridge” or “bin”).
From a manufacturing perspective, Dibond consists of three layers: two aluminum sheets and a polyethylene core sandwiched between them. The two aluminum surfaces can be customized, and it is this combination of materials that gives Dibond its strength and lightness.
The Advantages of Dibond Signage
Opting for Dibond aluminum panels for your signage is a perfectly justified choice for several reasons.
Robustness
Dibond is a durable material that can be used both indoors and outdoors. Thanks to its rust-resistant properties, it eliminates any risk of corrosion and offers excellent resistance to weather conditions and UV rays. This makes it an ideal option for outdoor use.
A Benchmark Material
Dibond has been a proven surface in the printing industry for many years. It is considered a benchmark material for printers.
Customization
This material allows for a wide range of colors and finishes, making it an excellent choice for creating customized designs, particularly for communication materials.
Recycled
Lastly, the materials used in its production are fully recyclable. This makes Dibond an eco-friendly and sustainable choice.
